I started The Perryman because everyone in the UK should have access to high quality, affordable food. We’ve all seen how the price of food has changed and the hassle of planning and cooking dinner is something we all face on a daily basis. If you've ever tried a meal delivery service before, you’ll know that its common practice to lure you into a subscription with huge discounts and then double the price once you’ve committed and it ends up costing a fortune. Many people are spending crazy amounts of money each month in an attempt to eat healthy meals that don’t cost your entire evening to make. I strongly believe that none of us should have to turn to highly processed foods because we can’t afford to access this type of service.

The Perryman was started to tackle food inequality head on.

High quality, low effort meals have been out of reach for many that need them for too long. Normally, the cost of real, nutritionally complete, meals delivered to your home has come at a premium - anywhere between £7-£13 per meal (plus delivery). Forcing many who want to benefit from the convenience of ready made meals into buying overly processed rubbish.

Our goal is to dramatically reduce the cost of healthy cooked meals, but we also think it is just as important to introduce transparency to the pricing of our food so that our members know they are getting honest food at honest prices. 

The cost to produce the meals included in our Perryman Bundle meal set is £24.44 for six meals. We mark that price up by 20% so that we can continue to run the company and invest in disrupting the cost of the market as a whole as much as we possibly can.

That means our members pay £29.44 for this meal set. Then we add on the cost of delivery, £3, that we pay directly to our delivery partners, many of whom are independent couriers.

That makes the sales price £32.44. Far, far lower than the pricing available in the wider marketplace. 

Every meal we sell is priced exactly the same way: our cost, plus 20%, plus the delivery fee. When you buy your meals from The Perryman you’ll always know exactly how we arrived at the price you pay. As we grow and our costs go down, we will always pass those savings onto you.

I started The Perryman as an effort to bring honest food at honest prices to those who need it in the UK and if we can make a dent in disrupting the ridiculous food prices in the industry as a whole, well that’ll be a nice bonus. Thank you for your support and please do let me know what you think.
